About Whittlesea Workwear and Outdoors

Alby Russell, owner and proprietor, started as an employee in 1989 at General Surplus and Disposals Glenroy (Est. 1965), eventually taking over operation of Whittlesea Disposals (a second store of Glenroy) in 1994.

Having achieved many successful years running Whittlesea Disposals within the community of Whittlesea, Alby felt it was time to branch out. Eltham and its surrounding communities became an obvious choice as there was a need to supply workwear and camping equipment locally. When the opportunity arose to set up shop in Eltham, it was taken enthusiastically.

Eltham is a unique community in that residents are loyal to their shopping centre, environment and their community. We hope to supply young and mature families, along with trades people, their camping and work clothing needs.

We are always interested to hear new suggestions. We attempt to supply not only tried and true products but also new and innovative products. We are a family owned business and understand the importance of good customer service.
